Sector Five Crime Forum chairperson Gerrie Germishuizen writes:
With all the bad news hitting the front pages I think it is time to also talk about the good.
From Sector Crime Forum five (Rhodesfield Extension One) we thank Brig Maredi, station commander for Kempton Park Police Station, for his humble commitment to crime prevention.
Sector five had a meeting on the 18th and clearly noticed how serious Brig Maredi is taking crime and crime prevention. Special thanks to Kempton Park SAPS and CPF team leaders.
The public does not always really understand the issues, equipment shortages, internal politics and stresses the SAPS is facing by the day.
So, I invite public leaders to make an appointment with Brig Maredi to understand these issues and perhaps to see where and how they can contribute to making Kempton Park safe again. Businesses are welcome.
Individuals team up with organisations like CPF, SCF or your local security. The more you are involved, the better you understand. The better you understand, the safer we make our environment.
Rather be a player than a spectator.
Does not matter how small the contribution, together we build the wall of safety brick by brick.
