Quick response from metro after complaints

So, residents, if you see something that needs fixing, preferably e-mail the call centre

SANDRA from Van Riebeeck Park writes:

On April 23, I reported a collapsed stormwater drain on Soutpansberg Drive, Van Riebeeck Park to the municipality’s call centre.

You can imagine my delight – and astonishment – that, mid-morning on April 25 there was a team actually carrying out the necessary repairs.

Well done to the call centre staff who speedily processed this request and to the department which carried out the repair.

In addition, at the junction of Green and Panorama avenues in Van Riebeeck Park, where there is a small triangular traffic island, a kerbside crash barrier had been damaged for some time.

An e-mail to the call centre (call.centre@ekurhuleni.gov.za) soon had that repaired, too – and the overgrown grass was also cut.

So, residents, if you see something that needs fixing, preferably e-mail the call centre. That way, you have a record of your request and things do get attended to.
