Has any thought been given to pensioners?

The latest budget refers.

It is shocking that in addition to above-inflation increases in all services, the council now sees fit to remove the 6kl free water allocated to households.

Has any thought been given to pensioners who live on fixed incomes and who are being hounded out of their homes by ever-increasing service fees and ever-deteriorating services?

We have to put up with frequent power and water interruptions while refuse removal is chaotic.

Also, at a recent meeting regarding the roll-out of wheelie bins, the local ward councillor indicated that the refuse removal fee would be reduced to R150 a month, plus VAT, once wheelie bins came into service.

I have not noticed any reduction, in fact, the fees are being increased on July 1.

What has happened to this intention?
