Desperate residents move waste across the road

'It is quite evident that this side of the street is not scheduled on their collection route,' says Van Riebeeck Road resident.

C STEVENS writes:

I again come to you because since my last mail dated June 29 there has not been any waste removal on the (south) side of Van Riebeeck Road but like clockwork, on the other side (north) every Monday.

Out of desperation, we have attempted to move our bins to the opposite side of the street for collection but unfortunately, some of the neighbours were not too happy and went so far as to insist that the bins be moved back.

It is quite evident that this side of the street is not scheduled on their collection route.

I have gone so far as to lodge a complaint on the e-Siyakhoka website in the complaints column provided, seeking advice, but needless to say, without response.
