Shops in CBD without power for six days

The city’s reason for the issue is there is a problem with an 11 000 volt cable.

Gene Supra writes:

Persistent problems are being experienced with the power supply to areas in Kempton Park CBD, especially West Street and Pretoria Road.

The problems started mid-August. Despite the electricity department’s efforts to rectify the problem, certain shops have again been without power since August 30 and remain without power today (September 5).

The city’s reason for the issue is there is a problem with an 11 000 volt cable.

It would be much appreciated if the electricity department could advise why this problem cannot be overcome.

Express informed Clr Jaco Terblanche about the matter, who said he would follow up.
