Why such a lenient fine for taxi drivers?

Better yet, crush the taxi and live stream it to Facebook and Youtube.

ANDREW MCGILL of Edleen writes:

Kempton Express reported that taxi drivers threatened a resident of Edleen with death and violence while driving illegally.

Following this, metro police took a day out of their busy schedule on October 5 to issue three fines to drivers who committed the associated traffic offence.

Seriously? A piffling traffic fine? Is that it? Why were vehicles not impounded? Why was there not a bulldozer on site to crush the taxis?

Why is threatening death and violence all in a day’s work? The fine issued was designed for addressing accidental errors due to negligence – missing a sign, being unfamiliar with an area.

The error in question is willful: the drivers refuse the law. This is an aggravated crime. This does not call for a light response.

Hold the vehicle for a few hours and search for weapons. Better yet, crush the taxi and live stream it to Facebook and Youtube.

Let the taxi driver walk home with his gun and explain to the owner what happened. Let the taxi passengers walk to work for letting the driver get away with it.

When the taxi driver took out a gun and threatened death, how many of them got out of that taxi and refused to be associated with such wicked behaviour?
