The street lights in Panorama Avenue, Edleen, burned day and night.
The person in charge of doing this work just never bothered to do his work. On November 23 this was reported (Ref No 3397700). On November 26, three days later, the lights were switched off.
I have a big gripe. I have a solar geyser, gas stove and my electricity bill a month is plus/minus R1 700. I am a pensioner. I never see if a correct reading is taken, as the meter is in a locked enclosure across the street.
But please, let the powers that be know that someone (heaven alone knows who) is being paid a handsome salary to switch the street lights off. We as tax payers are not getting things done that we pay for.
And who is paying Eskom/council but us poor taxpayers?
