I am referring to the non-collection of refuse for which we are charged. Surely this amounts to theft?
Besides numerous incidents during 2018, the most recent was the non-collection of refuse on Christmas Day in Birch Acres.
The refuse schedule does, however, clearly indicate that there will be no refuse collection on Christmas Day but what is the municipality’s other option to make up for this? None.
This is the time of the year when residents spruce up their homes and gardens in preparation for the festive season and friends. All this is spoilt by piles of rotten uncollected garbage.
I have no doubt that the mayor and his team do not have a similar problem and most likely got a healthy Christmas bonus.
I would like to see a class action instituted against the mayor and others responsible.
It will be interesting to see what feeble excuse they offer to this report, if any at all.
