Why pay if the service is not received?

What are you doing with our money, is the question.

RESIDENT OF NORKEM PARK writes:

I, as a paying resident of Kempton Park, would like to know why we are not receiving a service from the waste management department?

Our rubbish has not been collected for two weeks, going on three weeks now. The bins now stink and have maggots. It is a health hazard.

I want the mayor involved here. Otherwise, I am going to Carte Blanche.

Ekurhuleni has a serious problem. What are you doing with our money, is the question. This situation is ongoing. They never collect the rubbish according to the days allocated. If they don’t want to work, then get rid of them.

I find it really amusing that Fridays they go half day because its payday – excuse me, what are they getting paid for if they are not working?

I want answers and I can tell you now all residents of Kempton Park are now gatvol and they are not going to pay for a service they did not receive.

On WhatsApp groups, the messages are from very angry residents. Not even our councillor can get answers from the waste management department.

It is disgusting and Kempton Park is disgusting.
