Metro does not only take away, they also give abundantly

So what are they giving us? can rightfully be asked.

HB of Edleen writes:

We should not always blame the local government because of our perception that they are forever taking things away from us.

The pessimists among us would argue that they often take away our electricity because of badly maintained infrastructure, sometimes they take away our water for the same reason, the past weeks they’ve taken away our refuse removal.

And yes, they probably hope that we can rely on our memory when we drive on Kempton’s roads without street names while we guess which lane we are actually in because of aged and now invisible road markings, not to mention that missing road signs simply do not get replaced.

“So what are they giving us?” can rightfully be asked.

They are generous with giving us plenty of potholes to dodge. Also, with the erratic refuse removal, they have given Kempton an infestation of flies and rats. Sometimes they take away and, in all fairness, we must recognise that when they give, they give abundantly.
