On July 9, I lost my ID book while out shopping.
Last week, my daughter saw a message on Facebook, saying that a certain Lushaka Honest Ramulifo had found my ID and was inquiring whether anyone knew me.
I phoned his cellphone number and he informed me that he had picked up my ID outside Absa at Festival Mall and handed it to the security officer, who left it at the management office.
He met me at Festival Mall and accompanied me to the security officer where I was able to retrieve my ID.
Lushaka has a matric certificate but is currently earning an honest income by being a trolley collector at the mall while looking for another job as jobs are scarce.
I think he deserves a medal for his honesty and integrity. If you wish to contact Lushaka with a job offer, please contact him personally at Festival Mall via the management office.
For such a young man (about 22 years old), he was so gracious and respectful. He saved me much frustration at having to re-apply for my ID.
