Common sense tells you the problem is bigger than just fixing a broken pipe

This is something that really makes me angry.

We have some guy that issues warnings about water usage in Gauteng being high and we must save water.

He speaks like it is us as residents who are the bad guys wasting water. I suppose there are some who do, but why does he not first look at who really wastes water?

Take, for example, outside IEC Holden and Doosan on Electron Road, Isando. There is a broken water main.

It has been belching out thousands of litres of water for more than 24 hours now (August 23 at 5.45am).

Okay, so it’s a broken pipe, but this is about the fourth time this month, and let us not go back the last few years.

They come, they repair, they leave, it ruptures again.

Common sense tells you the problem is bigger than just fixing a broken pipe. Don’t they see that?
