READER: No licence – no bookings available

It has become impossible to do anything legal in this new South Africa.

SHELLY-ANN RICHARDSON writes:

On November 11, my driver’s licence expired.

Since September 2019 I have been trying to make an online booking to renew my license, but to no avail. Every single testing station shows as fully booked when you actually go online to make an appointment.

My question is: who was the idiot that made this new rule, as I now have to drive illegally, simply because every single place is fully booked and I cannot make a booking anywhere?

It has now become impossible to do anything legal in this new South Africa as a result of all the fraud and corruption that is going on countrywide. What other option do I now have, except to break the law, just like numerous other people who are most probably having the same problem I am having.

I seriously doubt I will ever get an honest answer from anyone who is not committing fraud anywhere in South Africa.
