Reader: Kempton’s waste removal is worse than Eskom and SAA

And the priority is employees attending wellness day.

Very disgusted and disappointed resident of Bassiaan Avenue, Birch Acres, writes:

I would like to express my sincere disappointment with the management of Ekurhuleni Waste Removal Department.

This department is worse than the SAA and Eskom put together. The SAA, at least, still have aeroplanes in the air, and Eskom electricity available.

Our rubbish was again not collected for the past two weeks, and yet we are forced to pay for the non-existent service delivery.

And it seems that the election did not help, the non-existence of service delivery just carries on and on.

And the priority is employees attending wellness day. If I had the time today, I would have taken my trailer and dumped our street’s rubbish in front of the door of the mayor’s office. And I will not apologise for the inconvenience – and inconvenience it will cause – that I can assure you.

But I have a job to do, and am loyal to my company and the people I work with and have the integrity to rather attend to my job, than to concern myself with issues of incompetence of some of the workforce at Ekurhuleni Municipality.

It is sad that such a great city I have lived in for 35 years, has turned into a disgusting place to stay. Not because of the residents, but because of absolute mismanagement and the captured taxpayers’ money.
