Peter’s Garden of Lights raises over R35 000

A further R7 530 was raised at a special evening on December 18

Peter’s Garden of Lights in Van Riebeeck Park writes:

We would like to thank each and every person who came to visit our Christmas lights during December and also to thank everyone for the wonderful and generous contributions which were donated during this time.

We received donations of clothing, toys and food which were all passed on to our local community forum for them to distribute to the needy.

In addition to this, people also made monetary donations totaling R35 411.50 which we have divided among our local community forum, Little Eden and Hospice East Rand.

A further R7 530 was raised at a special evening on December 18 where the local community, as well as family and friends of Jade-Lee Morrison came together to remember her life and tragic passing. This money was donated directly to the family to assist with the funeral arrangements.

So once again a big thank you to all the wonderful people who are our reason for doing this every year and we hope to see you once again in December
