Editor – I am writing this letter to view my opinion of the renaming of our street names as per your report in this week’s Kempton Express.
I, like many residents of Kempton Park, are in total disagreement with this project.
I have been a tax-paying resident for 45 years, living in Kempton Park, and to read this nonsense is disgracefully from the so-called municipality.

The original names have been there forever – even before Kempton became a city.
And the municipality is getting away with it.
The state of Kempton Park CBD is nothing short of disgusting, it is a human toilet for people to do just what they like.
Not even proper policing and by-laws are maintained.
Does common sense not prevail here? Those funds should have been used to upgrade the CBD.
