New gym tackles obesity
In order to fight obesity and to encourage members of the community to exercise, two fitness fanatics have started Body Fitness Club.
The club opened its doors at the Moses Molelekwa Art Centre. According to fitness instructor Nomsa Sithole, there have been a lot of reports about people dying of heart disease, sugar diabetes and other related diseases.
“We decided to start a fitness club where people can exercise to keep fit. We also teach our members about eating healthy food,” she said. The club operates from 6pm to 7pm and is open from Monday to Friday.
One of the co-founders of the club, Kenneth Sithagu, says they are inviting members of the community to join the club and start living a healthy life.
“It is of paramount importance to look after one’s health,” he said.
