During his time at the club, he developed his discipline, skills and determination before moving to FC Chile, where he currently plays for the club’s Thembisa Siqongweni team.

His dedication, technical ability and impressive footwork earned him a place in the Gauteng squad that competed at the championships from July 11 to 13.

“Through this experience, I enjoyed playing with new people and learnt that if we work as a team, we can achieve a lot of things. Playing on bigger fields and seeing how open the pitch is was so nice,” said Motswane.

He said balancing schoolwork with football has been one of the biggest challenges on his journey, often resulting in late nights. However, with his mother’s support and his determination to achieve his dream of one day playing international football, he has remained focused on his goals.

“Just seeing his growth over the years in his leadership skills, humanity and sportsmanship, it all just makes me so proud,” she said.

Kamogelo encouraged aspiring young athletes to follow their dreams, remain positive and trust in God through prayer.

His mother urged parents in the community to wholeheartedly support and nurture their children’s talents, saying parents should always be their children’s safe space.
