Mononyane scores five goals
Puleng Mononyane scored five goals when his team, Mighty Robert FC, played to a 5-5 draw against Mighty Fighters at the Mvelaphanda grounds on Sunday.

The lanky 12-year-old youngster was not playing as a striker, but still managed to mesmerise his opponents with his deft skills from the midfield and managed to single-handedly score all his team’s goals. It was clear from the onset that instead of the two teams playing against each other, it was Mighty FC versus Mononyane. He had the supporters on their feet when he scored his third goal. He received a loose ball from Boitumelo Mashaiane in the midfield and dribbled past six players and the keeper before tapping the ball into an empty net. After the game, he said he spends a lot of time practising in order to be a better player.
“I try to do all the tricks I see on TV, especially from Lionel Messi from Barcelona. I want to play like him one day,” he said.
