Chance for girls and boys to be boxing champions

Kempton Park Amateur Boxing Club has produced many South African champions and boxers that represented the national team

KEMPTON Park Amateur Boxing Club is offering young boys and girls the opportunity to become the next great boxing champions.

Having produced many South African champions and boxers over the years, who also went on to represent the national team, the club now wants to give the same chance to potential boxers.

Kempton Boxing Club is the oldest boxing club in South Africa and was established in the 1950s.

It has produced boxing legends such as Jackie Chauke, who won a silver medal at the 2006 Commonwealth Games in Melbourne, Australia. Chauke was also the only boxer in SA who qualified for the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, China.

Marcus Lebogo won the gold medal in the welterweight division at the 2010 Zone 6 Championships (10 southern countries in Africa participated in the competition) and he was also awarded the trophy for the most outstanding boxer at the same championships.

The club is now looking for young boys and girls, men and women who would like to participate in boxing to come to the club and be coached by one of the most experienced coaches in South Africa.
