Classic emerges victorious

Classic looked in control and displayed utter confidence in front of the enthusiastic spectators.

A top 8 tournament, which started on Saturday, ended with Classic emerging victorious.

The final was played on Sunday at the Mayibuye Sports Grounds

The final game of the tournament, between Classic and Alexandra City Spares, kicked off at a relaxed pace.

Classic looked in control and displayed utter confidence in front of the enthusiastic spectators.

After about 10 minutes of play, Tselo scored the first goal for Classic.

Classic continued to attack and Alexandra City Spares became desperate for an equalising goal.

“Gusheshe”, a player for Classic, scored a second goal for his team, bringing the score to 2-0.

“The problem with Alexandra City Spares is that they keep the ball at the back; they are not attacking and that is why Classic is leading,” said Christopher Mashimbye, the tournament organiser.

Two yellow cards were awarded to Classic by the end of the first half.

In the second half, Alexandra City Spares began attacking, trying hard to break through the opponent’s defense.

An Alexandra City Spares player, Mandela, managed to secure the first goal for his team.

Despite the improved attack, Alexandra City Spares was unable to prevent Classic from scoring a third goal.

A penalty was awarded to Alexandra City Spares, which was taken by the team’s goalkeeper, who managed to slot the shot home.

When the final whistle blew, the score was 3-2 in favour of Classic.
