Kempton’s premier XI bounce back in style
Kempton will host KwaThema on Sunday which will be their last game of the first half

KEMPTON Park Cricket Club’s premier XI bounced back from last week’s defeat with an eight-wicket bonus point victory before lunch away to Springs Old Boys on Sunday.
Old boys won the toss and elected to bat first on a chilly morning more conducive to bowling conditions. The move, however, did not pay off as the Kempton bowling attack seemed way too strong for the young Springs outfit.
They were skittled out for 91 inside 25 overs. Opening bowler Gavin Ralph continued his good form, picking up 4/32 in 10 overs. Burley all-rounder Casey Arnold chipped in with 4/9 in six overs.
Kempton then set out in pursuit of the small target, making light work of reaching 94/2 in 17.1 overs. Dylan Nel (32*) and Arnold (28) starred with the bat.

The promotion side enjoyed a massive 307-run victory over Springs Old Boys on Sunday. Kempton batted first and took the Springs bowlers apart in amassing 373/4 in their 50 overs. Opener Brett Luck (118) attacked from ball one and this allowed the rest of the batsmen to dig into the bowling.
Skipper Lee Coetzee (68*) and young Louis Geldenhuis (75*) put on 121 in the last 10 overs. The Springs batting line up was no match for the Kempton bowlers as they ripped through the batting line up and bowled Springs out for 66.
Keagan Foley (3/30) and stalwart Wynand Hefer (6/8) ensured the victory for Kempton.
The director’s side continued their crazy form with the bat as they secured a 113-run victory over Etwatwa on Sunday. Kempton batted first and passed the 400-run mark for the second time this season, posting 404/4 in 50 overs.
Quinton Oliver scored 125, making it back to back hundreds, with Anre Craven (111) scoring his first hundred for the club.
Etwatwa replied with 291/9 in their 50 overs. Adrian Griesel returned figures of 4/31 in his 10 overs.
