Entries open for first Triathlon champs of 2016
This event is the selection event for the CGT team
GERMISTON Lake is set to host the first trinity triathlon and central Gauteng triathlon (CGT) championships of 2016 on January 10, sectioned by CGT and Triathlon South Africa (TSA).
This event is the selection event for the CGT team, but is also open to all non-registered athletes.
CGT Athletes need a TSA number ending in 16 (e.g. CGT/1000/16) and those who have not registered with CGT must renew it before entries close on January 5.
Day licences are also available to athletes who are not registered with their CGT / TSA and fees are R100 for Olympic distance and R30 for para athletes, juniors and fun sprint distance. Members with a current and valid TSA number will not be charged a day licence fee.
The race will start at 8am and comprises of an Olympic Distance Triathlon of 1.5km swim, 40km cycle and 10km run, an Olympic Distance Duathlon of 10km swim, 40km cycle and 5km run and various Kids Triathlon fun events.
