White Birds seemed the more confident team, as they showed off their football technique.

The match slowly gained momentum, however, when Eleven Stars started fighting back for ball possession.

White Birds managed to take a 1-0 lead when their right winger Nkateko Tivani scored a goal after he receiving a well-timed pass from Mohlaoleni Mamogale in the 15th minute of the first half.

The Eleven Stars’ attempt at goal was fruitless in the first half, and the score was 1-0 at the break.

Going into the second half, both teams came back well organised; however, White Birds doubled their lead when Tivani scored a brace for his team, putting more pressure on their opponents.

This pushed Eleven Stars to try even harder to equalise the score, but they only managed to score a single goal through Welcome Nkwanyana. Both teams missed good opportunities at goal in the dying minutes of the game.

When the referee blew the whistle to end the match, the score was 2-1 in favour of White Birds.

White Birds coach Emmanuel Moyana said the game was tough; however, his team managed to use every opportunity that they came across.

“We played a very interesting match and it was a tough one for the boys. I am just happy because my players are following instructions, as that is the most important rule in football. They have team spirit and a love for the sport. I am hoping that one day I will produce the best soccer star in the community,” added Moyana.
