Kicking into action at the SA championships
Six club members took part in the SAs in Pretoria.
Six kickboxers from the International Sport Fighting Organisation (ISFO) in Glen Marais represented Eastern Gauteng at the SA championships at the Valhalla Military Gymnasium in Pretoria at the end of April.
Their coach, Shihan Danie du Plessis, dedicated a lot of his time and knowledge to their training and four of these six returned home as SA champions in their different divisions.
The champions are Claude St Arnaud (semi-contact senior men under 89kg), Marc St Arnaud (light continuous fighting junior boys plus 94kg), Brittany Crocker (semi-contact senior women plus 70kg) and Westley van der Walt (semi-contact junior boys under 74, light continuous junior boys under 74kg). Marc St Arnaud also won silver in semi-contact and kick light. Magda van Niekerk brought home a bronze medal in semi-contact plus 65kg veteran women.
