Amagluglug FC teach their opponents a football lesson in a Top Eight tourney
Amagluglug FC beat Dipitsi FC in the finals of the Top Eight games at Phomolong grounds on February 3.
Amagluglug coach Rapule Mashilo said in the first half, his team scored 25 minutes into the game, a goal scored by Simpiwe Daka.
“We had no substitution and no injuries. At half time break, we led 1-0. During the break, I told my boys the game was tough. I highlighted areas of weakness and told them to pick up from there,” said Rapule.
He said a few minutes into the second half, their opponents equalised and immediately Amagluglug switched off because they were tired.

When the final whistle blew, the score was 1-1 and the game went into a penalty shoot-out. Amagluglug finally won the game 4-2.

“I told my boys to start communicating effectively and to push harder. They did exactly that and this worked in our favour. In the second half Kholisile Sibisi scored our second goal to make it 2-0 in our favour,” Rapule said.
In an earlier game, Amagluglug beat Ward 7 FC 1-0. Rapule said the match was tough, but they went through with a slight margin.
