Tennis players from Kempton Park included in provincial teams

The 2019 Gauteng East interprovincial tennis teams recently took part in the South African Schools Tennis Tournament.

The 2019 Gauteng East interprovincial tennis teams recently took part in the South African Schools Tennis Tournament.

Six players from Kempton Park were members of the teams. They were Juan Pierre du Plessis (Laerskool Impala), Lesedi Malapile (Shangri-La Academy), Eugene Labuschagne (Hoërskool Kempton Park), Tongase Chilango (Curro Serengeti), Alistair Dick-Vercammen (King Edward High School) and Isabella Sereo (Hoërskool Birchleigh).

The u-13 SA primary schools tournament took place in Bloemfontein where the Gauteng East team placed ninth out of 16 teams.

Danielle Chapman and Boitshepo Maake were selected for the South African A team and Owethu Makhanya for the SA B team.

The u-15 and u-19 SA high schools tournament took place in Pretoria where the Gauteng East u-15 team placed 10th out of 16 teams. Erin McKenzie was selected for the South African team.

The Gauteng East u-19 team placed seventh out of 16 teams. Tanika Pananio and Isabella Sereo were selected for the South African u-19 team.
