Kickboxers receive many medals at SA championships

Four students brought South African champion titles home.

Four kickboxers from Xstreme Kickboxing who represented Eastern Gauteng at the SA Championships in Oudsthoorn at the end of April proofed to be the best of the best in their divisions.

Michael Lovemore was awarded first place for kick light and light contact and was crowned the SA champion in both these divisions. He also received silver for semi contact.

This was his 10th participation at an SA Championships and he was awarded SA champion multiple times during this 10 years.

Heinrich Lamprecht was crowned the SA champion for kick light and semi contact. He also received bronze for light contact.

Janika Theron, who attended her first SA Championships, is the SA champion in kick light. She also won silver for semi contact and bronze for light contact.

Shihan Eddie Theron is the SA champion for kick light. He further achieved a silver for light contact and bronze for semi contact.

Shihan Eddie Theron, Lovemore and Lamprecht will represent South Africa at the WAKO World Championships in Turkey in November.
