Highlands Park Reserves to host Stellenbosch FC

The home team has comfortably positioned themselves in seventh place

Highlands Park Reserves will entertain newcomers Stellenbosch FC Reserves on Saturday at Makhulong Stadium.

Kick-off is 12:00 and entrance is free.

Following a 1 – 0 victory against Orlando Pirates this past Saturday, Highlands Park will be looking to continue their good form and to collect all three points against Stellenboch Reserves.

The home team has comfortably positioned themselves in seventh place with nine points after five games, while their opponents has only collected six points after their five outings and occupies tenth position.

Even though the visitors are coming to Tembisa with their tail between their legs following their 3 – 1 loss at the hands of Baroka Reserves on Sunday, Highlands Park should not under-estimate their capabilities.

In the interim, the senior Highlands Park team, will compete against Polokwane City on Tuesday night, at Makhulong Stadium, for the second leg of the MTN8 semi-finals clash.

The first leg of the competition saw these two giants compete in Limpopo only to result in a goalless draw.

The Lions of the North as they are fondly known, will be looking to make history by earning a place in the finals in the lucrative tournament.

Highlands Park spokesperson, Sbonelo Ngidi has pleaded with all Tembisans and soccer fanatics to rally their support behind the team and its reserve side during these two important fixtures.
