Clash of the titans awaits at Makhulong Stadium on Saturday

A clash of the titans awaits soccer fanatics this Saturday at the Makhulong Stadium when Premier Soccer League log leaders Kaizer Chiefs collide with Cup specialists Highlands Park.
The two giants will meet in the Nedbank Cup thriller scheduled for 3pm.
Already a sold-out affair, this clash promises nothing but fireworks from both ends, with both teams coming to this battle with most of their trusted soldiers available for selection.
The hosts, Highlands Park have since proven to be cup specialist following their impressive run in the MTN8, where they went all the way to the finals.
The Lions of the North started the competition on a good foot, registering a 2-0 victory over Uthongathi FC in the Round of 32.
Just this past weekend, Highlands Park stunned Bloemfontein Celtic by 2-0 in a league encounter, cementing their spot in the top eight.
Their opponents, The Phefeni Glamour Boys, have also had an impressive feat, especially in league games, with a total of 14 wins and only three losses.
They are currently at the summit of the log table with 45 points, second are Orlando Pirates with six points and third are Mamelodi Sundowns with seven points.
The same, however, can’t be said about Chiefs though when it comes to cup games. They have gone more than two seasons without any silverware in their cabinet.
Last season though, the 50-year-old team and arguably one of the biggest in Africa, reached the finals of the Nedbank Cup, but lost to second tier (Glad Africa) team TS Galaxy.
The Nedbank Cup, being the final cup competition of the season, gives both teams a shot at some silverware. The journey starts at Makhulong Stadium.
