Close and tough matches seem to be the norm for the Wolwe this season so far.

With the first team, some tongue-in-cheek comments can be made about the match officials, but, on the day the rugby cards fell differently for the Wolwe and they went down 22-14 against tough opposition from the Eagles.

Man of the match Hayden Maree pipped the rest of the backline for the honours, as the Wolwe backline looked dangerous from the start.

Tries were scored by Henco Potgieter and Quinton Finscham while both conversions were slotted over by Brandon Riekert.

The second team lost 15-7. Man of the match Kobus Nel gave some confidence to an overall very young second-team squad.
