Kempton Park Cricket Club win against rivals

Bowler of the day was awarded to Kriston du Plessis who took 1/6 in three overs.

Players from the Kempton Park Cricket Club (KPCC) recently played in various games.

In the senior division, the Kempton first team led the weekend wins when the team played against Duduza.

They won the toss and elected to bat first.

Kempton made 245/4. Guilaums van Niekerk was the top scorer with 74 not out.

Bowler of the day was awarded to Kriston du Plessis who took 1/6 in three overs.

KPCC won the match by 181 runs.

In the U12 Kingham 1 match, Devin Pretorius was the best batsman.

In the ladies’ match played against Geluksdal, KPCC batted first and made 266 with captain Jolene Smit leading from the front with an unbeaten 116.

Jordan Holtzhausen was the pick of the bowlers with 3/7 in three overs.

KPCC Ladies won the match by 158 runs.

The KPCC second side played Springs away.

Kempton batted first, scoring 182 with Don McKay missing out on his 50 by one run. Ig Spies was the best bowler on the day with 3/19 in three overs to secure a 41-run win.

In the Chairman’s League, KPCC played Thakoza. They smashed 279/8. Zeeshan Butt was top scorer with 85 runs and took six wickets.

Kempton won by 247 runs.

Facing off against Bedfordview in the Executives League, Kempton scored 263 all out. Captain Hassan Ali led the team to a 128 runs victory, top scoring with the bat on 79 and Fahad Raza took 5/40.

In the junior league, Kempton’s U10 Impala played Old Bens.

Dian Richter was unbeaten on 43 which helped Kempton to 159/3. Dillon Flemix took 2/28 runs taking Kempton to a win of 51 runs.

U12 Kingham 1 took on Benoni Northerns. They won by five wickets.

The top batsman was Devin Pretorius with 23 runs. Top bowler Ross Keller took 3/1 run in three overs.

Man of the match was Christiaan Oosthuizen for his tremendous effort in the field.

Kempton’s U14 Impala Blue side faced Thembisa, scoring 193/6. Kempton won by 107 runs.

Brendan Smit scored 47 with the bat and Connor Moat returned home with a five-wicket haul.

The U12 Sibali Blue side went head-to-head against CBC Old Boys 2.

Cayde Freer was awarded as the Man of the Match with his maiden 50 making 86 of 60 balls not out.

Kempton beat CBC by three wickets in a close game.

Ulrich Hamman top scored with 24 and Dewald Breytenbach shone with the ball taking four wickets.

The U12s also took on CBC Old Boys 1.

Kempton beat CBC 1 by 126 runs.

Cayde Freer was awarded as the man of the match with his maiden 50, making 86 of 60 balls not out.

Liam du Toit, Alexander Newstad Thomas and Damon Baldon each took three wickets.

The U12 Impala Yellow side faced SOB in Springs and won by five wickets. Aiden Wolmarans scored 51 not out and Lohan van Dyk 52 not out.

Kai Muller took two wickets for the loss of 14 runs.

The U14 Kingham side took to the pitch against Katlehong and lost by eight wickets. Josua Zuurvogel was the top batsman with 17 runs.

In the U10 fixture, the Kingham side took on SOB and lost by 14 runs.

Bowler Sebastian Swanepoel took 2/12 and batman Laim de Lange scored 14 off 23.

The Sibali side lost against Duduza by seven wickets.

Christiaan Ryan scored 15 runs and Arno Potgieter took one wickets for the loss of three runs.
