Athlete Mbutana Madlalisa is appealing to sponsors to assist him on his next race.

Madlalisa has already achieved numerous medals in different running events including 5km, 10km, and 21.1km races.

“Ever since I started running, I have never had any sponsor, but I’m hoping that will change soon,” he said.

“I take running as a career, and it would bring me joy to succeed in it because, for me, it is not just a sport.

“Running also benefits the body in many different ways like improving sleep, time management and productivity, as well as social connections.”

He said that several events happen throughout the year, and he tries to participate in as many as possible.

“The event that I’m focusing on right now is the Absa Durban 10km race which will be held on July 10,” he said.
