Valke Rugby has announced a sponsorship deal with Forever 9, a fitness supplement supplier, aimed at enhancing player performance and maintaining peak fitness levels.
The partnership originated from Forever 9’s involvement as a sponsor during a recent Valke Rugby golf day.
Discussions between the two parties led to the formalisation of this agreement.
Forever 9 CEO André Lubbe explained that before finalising the deal, several meetings were held with the Valke team to address key aspects of nutrition.

These discussions focused on dietary adjustments, prioritising essential nutrients, and the importance of proper hydration.
“I want the players to remember that nutrition should always come first, with supplements playing a secondary role in their overall eating plans,” said Lubbe.
“Our goal is to help each player reach their full potential and become the best in the league.”
Valke Rugby CEO Ettienne de Lange echoed Lubbe’s sentiments, emphasising the importance of a balanced diet and quality supplements for professional athletes.
“Professional sportspeople cannot maintain their fitness or perform at a high level without a proper nutrition programme and the right supplements.

“That’s where Forever 9 plays a crucial role,” said De Lange.
He added that the team is currently in its pre-season programme, preparing for the SA Cup and Currie Cup competitions.
“We’re optimistic that these products will enhance our players’ performance on the field,” De Lange said.
