Thembisa boxer loses title in the ring

Thembisan Jackson Chauke (39) lost his IBO World Flyweight title defence when Edenvale’s Ricardo The ‘Magic Man’ Malajika (pink trunks) sent him to the canvas for the count in the second round of their headline bout on the Palace Pandemonium Box and Dine Tournament at Emperors Palace’s Centre Court on March 1.

It was expected that Chauke, with 24 fights under the belt, would weather an early onslaught from the challenger who moved to the lower weight division to take on the champion.
