Arwyp Medical Centre celebrates doctors and partners at annual Golf Day
The Arwyp Medical Centre hosted its annual Golf Day at Ebotse Links in Benoni, bringing together doctors, suppliers, and partners for a day of networking, golf, and community celebration.
The Arwyp Medical Centre took to the greens to celebrate doctors, suppliers and key stakeholders at its annual Golf Day at the Ebotse Links, Benoni, on September 17.
The sunny day allowed participants to network, relax and enjoy a round of golf.
Doctors affiliated with Arwyp, suppliers, business partners, medical aid representatives and healthcare service providers attended.
Representatives from organisations supported or sponsored by the hospital also joined, including players from the Valke Rugby Club.

The Arwyp Medical Centre communications manager, Fahiema Gregory, said the annual Golf Day is held to show appreciation and strengthen professional relationships.
“The event is an opportunity to recognise contributions to the hospital and create a relaxed, social environment, where networking and collaboration can flourish,” Gregory said.
Participants competed for prizes while enjoying the 18-hole course.
Dyllan Cloete said he accepted the invite to show support for Arwyp, “I enjoyed my day. It’s a wonderful day to play golf, meet new people and network.”
Valke rugby player Zander van der Merwe highlighted the community aspect of the event.
“As a professional rugby union, we want to invest our time in local companies to support community growth. Golf helps us connect with people, have fun and reflect on achievements,” Van der Merwe said.

The day fostered knowledge sharing between stakeholders, reinforcing the hospital’s reputation and demonstrating a culture of appreciation and engagement.
Participants included medical aid firms, pharmaceutical and medical suppliers, and partner organisations that support hospital initiatives.

The event concluded with a gala dinner to announce the winners.
First team winners:
• Christo Pieterse, Professor Shivesh Maharaj, doctors Sheetal Mungul and Pierre Hugo;
Second team winners:
• Dr Jannie de Witt, Mr E Naicker, Dr Abdul Rauf;
Third team winners:
• Josh Warner, Liam Larkan, Jared Parnell and Jean-Alain Levieux.
The participating partners included Ampath Laboratories, Whalley and Van der Lith Inc Attorneys, Blakes & Maphanga Attorneys, Techfusion and Dr R Scheepers Chiropractor.
