The Young and Old Lions team at Avion Golf Club has claimed the first-ever Golden Cannon Bowls Trophy.

The team arrived at the club expecting a regular game of golf but were surprised to find that the day’s activity had been switched to bowls.

The 60 participating golfers were guided to the greens to take part in a knock-out tournament. With the trophy are Armandt Trollip, Charl Marais, Cleon Coetzee, and Mike van As.
