Europe dominates to claim third consecutive Glyder Cup win
Battling rain and strong winds, Team Europe outplayed USA at Avion Park Golf Club, extending their winning streak in the popular annual event.
The Glyder Cup, the annual ‘Europe’ vs ‘USA’ golf showdown, took place on October 18 at Avion Park Golf Club, drawing keen competition and excitement.
Players faced challenging conditions, with cold weather, rain, and strong winds testing every shot.
The tournament followed a greensomes format for the first nine holes, betterball for the second nine, and individual play for the final nine.

After the first 18 holes, the scores were all square, reflecting how closely contested the match was.
Europe pulled ahead during the final nine singles matches, ultimately winning convincingly. The final score was Europe 36 – USA 24.
Organisers praised the event for being well run, with all participants displaying great team spirit and sportsmanship.
This victory marked the third consecutive year that Europe has lifted the Glyder Cup trophy, solidifying their dominance in the annual competition.
