About Tembisan

Kempton Express is still deeply cemented in the ever changing community of Kempton Park.
This was again proofed with the release of the latest Roots 2016 survey figures.

Since the last survey was done in 2013, Express’ readership has grown 14% from 69% to an incredible 83%, keeping it the best medium for businesses to use for advertising.

For advertisers Kempton Express provides an established product where distribution is guaranteed and you have the upper hand in readership figures.

Community newspapers are increasing their reach annually while sales figures in the competitive market have fallen dramatically over the past few years.

From an advertising perspective the community newspaper should be the vehicle of choice when it comes to spending advertising budgets.

Couple this with our social media pages, businesses cannot go wrong by choosing their local publication.

The most popular daily publication in Kempton Park sits at only 10% readership in the city.

Our proud history

Kempton Express was founded in the early 1980s when the then emerging Caxton group bought Kempton Nuus. Kempton Nuus was owned by the Eybers family and was a sold newspaper.

With the establishment of Kempton Express, Kemptonians were introduced to a free newspaper distributed to every household, covering all aspects of local news.

Over the past 30 odd years we have cemented ourselves in the Kempton Park community and became the voice of an ever changing society. We have seen the city grow and change.
We have reported on our community’s triumphs and heartaches.

One thing that has not changed over the years is our commitment to our readers. We still and will always believe in bringing readers well balanced news without any bias.
