Remade cards available at fête
The annual fête will have plenty to keep visitors of all ages busy
FOR 10 years, the Thornhill Manor Card Group has been refining the art of turning used greeting cards into beautifully refurbished “new” offerings.
A range of these cards, suitable for all occasions, will be on sale at Thornhill Manor’s Family Fun Day and Fête on October 3 from 9am to 1pm.
Selling for R7 a card, visitors to the Rand Aid-run retirement village’s fête should be able to stock up on cards for a very affordable sum.
Also on sale will be Christmas cards (R20 for a pack of five) and colourful, sturdy Christmas crowns.
The annual fête will have plenty to keep visitors of all ages busy, with stalls offering special items rather than mass imported goods; food stalls – including German fare, egg and bacon rolls, boerie rolls and pancakes, and a beer and tea garden.
Thornhill Manor is situated at 158 Westlake Drive, Lakeside, Johannesburg Road in Modderfontein.
