African exhibits at Heritage Festival
Exhibitors showcased proudly South African products
THE inaugural annual African Lifestyle and Heritage Festival was hosted over the weekend at Dries Niemandt Park from September 18 to 20.
The festival was a showcase of the beauty, diversity and ethnicity of each of the 54 countries on the African continent.
The aim of the event was to educate South Africans and other Africans on African cuisine, music, fashion, literature and arts, to cultivate a sense of unity within the continent.
Exhibitors showcased the latest trends from all of the African countries with proudly South African products on sale.
The three-day spectacular was hosted under the theme, Africa, the New Now: We will journey for our glorious past to our vibrant present.
The African Lifestyle and Heritage Festival was hosted in partnership with the City of Ekurhuleni, SAFM, EKFM, Department of International Relations and Cooperation, and the National Youth Development Agency.
