“I am happy because this is what I have been wanting to achieve. I am going to invest the prize money in my music career because I am an upcoming artist. I want to explore and achieve more in music,” said Motsamai.

He said he had confidence from the beginning of the competition and wished to take the first position .
Motsamai said he is inspired by Omega Khunou because of the confidence he has on stage and because he has a good personality.
“I want to see my music make an impact on different lives in different countries. I want to bring something different to the music space and I want to inspire youngsters.

I want to thank my parents, Bishop John and Sarah Motsamai for believing and nurturing the talent I have. I want to thank my mentor Pastor Billy Holms, for guiding me. I want thank everyone who supported me throughout the competition. I promise to deliver what God has invested in me,” said Sydney Motsamai.
Thapelo M said the initiative will happen every year. “We are calling upon Tembisa residents to support us in their numbers because we can’t do this on our own. United we stand and together we can,” said Thapelo M.
