Sebola Christmas Festival to entertain Tembisa residents

The Sebola Christmas Festival will be the mother of all parties this December.

The first Sebola Christmas Festival will keep Tembisa’s fun-lovers entertained at Dries Niemandt Picnic Park in Kempton Park on December 1.

Zandile Mlambo, Sebola Productions’ events coordinator, said the event will feature an exciting line-up of artists, among them King Monada, Nasty C, Emtee, Benny Mayingane, Moozlie, Da Capo, Rouge, Stilo Magolide, Ms Cosmo, Lerato Kganyago, Master KG and Makhadzi.

She said the festival is the Sebola family’s way of showing appreciation to the community for their loyal and continuous support.

“Our vision is to build the Sebola Christmas Festival into an event that hosts world-class entertainment and internationally recognised cultural heritage, topped with premier hospitality and a touch of authentic local cuisine,” said Mlambo.

Sebola Productions’ public relations officer, Sfiso Mkhwanazi, said safety concerns were behind the decision to move the festival from Mehlareng Stadium to Dries Niemandt Picnic Park. This comes after the Ekurhuleni municipality said the stadium was not conducive to an event of this sort.

Free bus rides will be provided from Mehlareng Stadium to Dries Niemandt Picnic Park in Kempton Park.
