Ivory Park’s King Mzaiza releases his new EP
'For the EP I have used my life and experiences around me'
Sipho ‘King Mzaiza’ Mosime (22), a hip-hop artist from Ivory Park Extension Seven, launched his new EP called Niggar Up on April 1.
He is a music producer who produces fresh hip-hop hits to entertain and educate the community at large.
Born in a family of four children, he attended Rebonwe Primary School and Landulwazi High School. His love for music led to him producing his own beats from his computer at home.
He was inspired by the music of Pro-Kid and R-Kelly when he was younger and enjoyed playing volleyball growing up. In 2009 he moved to Thokoza to stay with his parents.
While in Thokoza, he became part of a crew called Final Touch before relocating back to Ivory Park in 2013 after he was signed by Redlight Media Production.
Mosime said in 2016 he met Petros Koza, the owner of Daveyton TV. Through Daveyton TV he was profiled on social media platforms.
“I have done radio and TV interviews with EK FM, Kasi FM Midday Express with Pypher Mpike and performed for charities, churches and even on big stages throughout Mpumalanga and Durban,” said Mosime.
“My music is based on inspirations in life. For the EP I have used my life and experiences around me. I have a song where I speak like a child without parents because of HIV.
“My family supports me a lot, especially my mom, because at some point she had to pay for my gigs, photo shoots and transport. I produce my own music. My friends push me to my limit and I even wrote a song for them,” added Mosime.
“For any bookings, people can contact my manager Petros Koza from Daveyton TV on 071 001 3203, or email petroskoza7@gmail.com. People can find my music across all social platforms at ‘King Mzaiza’.
“I now feel comfortable and enjoy my own space. I do not need to be a fake, even when I fail I would know I failed being real,” said Mosime.
