Don’t miss Sing for Joy concert

The concert will take place at St Dunstan's Cathedral on Woburn Avenue in Benoni at 2.30pm and 6.30pm.

The St Dunstan”s Music Foundation will once again stage its Sing for Joy concert on June 1.

This concert will be the foundation’s 17th production, the first having been staged in 2003. This year sees Robert Strijdom and Japhta Luphuzi taking the roles of musical directors.

Luphuzi will conduct and Strijdom has done many of the arrangements and will play the organ.

Sing for Joy 2019 promises to be a most enjoyable concert with a choir of about 100 members singing some very beautiful, sacred and secular numbers. The music will evoke images of Egypt and includes pieces such as Verdi’s Slave Chorus and the theme song from the Prince of Egypt.

There will be guest performances by the St Dunstan’s College Choirs and the Benoni High School award-winning pipe band.

The concert will take place at St Dunstan’s Cathedral on Woburn Avenue in Benoni at 2.30pm and 6.30pm.

Tickets are available on Quicket, at Daniella’s Jewellers in Farrarmere Square, St Dunstan’s Cathedral or from Anne Young on 083 665 3775.

For enquiries, call Jill Stirk on 083 491 9099.

There will be a food court between the two performances.
