Tembisa musician nominated for Satmas
Mfanelo and Mroza have released an album, Enough is Enough, which has been welcomed by his followers.
Tembisa Maskandi aspiring artist Mfanelo UPhenyibheshu aims to win at this year’s South African Traditional Music Achievement Awards (Satmas).
Mfanelo said music has always been his first love and passion. He was inspired by Shwi noMtekhala, who in 2007 gave him a chance to participate in the shooting of music videos for the album Uyobunenhlanhla.
Mfanelo is based in Tembisa and has seven years’ experience in the media industry. He has worked as a journalist, radio presenter and radio programming manager at Voice of Tembisa Community Radio Station.
In 2018, Mfanelo released his debut album, titled Baba KaBhamuza, and gained vast support from Maskandi music lovers. In 2019, Mfanelo partnered with Maskandi Song of the Year (2016) winner Mroza, known for his hit song Sobulala uVan Damme.
Mfanelo and Mroza have released an album, Enough is Enough, which has been welcomed by his followers.
“This album showcases me in a mature way as it tackle issues of woman abuse,” said Mfanelo.
Mfanelo has been nominated in two categories, best newcomer and best maskandi album, and asks that the people vote for him.
