Local hip-hop star is making waves

Hip-hop maestro drops new single

Tembisa-born Fhulufhelo Sinthumule is making waves in the hip-hop and Afro-trap industry.

Fhulufhelo, better known by his stage name, The.Good.Kid, has just dropped a single titled God is watching, together with a music video.

The single is available on YouTube and his website, the-good-kid.webnode.com.

Speaking to The Tembisan, The.Good.Kid says music has always been in his veins, since he was a child. He has been working hard to perfect his craft.

“I was touched by music at the age of five through the influence of my father playing jazz music every Sunday morning. But I fell in love with hip-hop during my school days and I have never looked back,” he said.

He says the abundance of music in his household gave birth to the star he is today.

“My family has always encouraged me to tell my story through my craft, and this was the kind of influence I grew up with,” he continues.

Before his new single, The.Good.Kid released an extended-play (EP) titled Now it’s just a dream, which was followed by a deluxe of this EP.

He has shared the stage with the likes of Yung Swiss, Zooci Coke Dope, Big Star, Touchline and Makwa and many other hip-hop heavyweights.

For his craft, he was nominated at the 2019 011 Awards for Best Newcomer, 2019 GAMA Awards for Best Upcoming Artist and the 2019 ETTM Awards for Best Banger.
