WATCH: Kempton singer bags two SA country awards

His new album will be released early next year.

Pomona country singer Jason Bradley (36) was honoured with two awards at this year’s South African Country Music Artist Foundation (SACMAF) Awards on November 2.

Bradley received the Internationally Recognised Male Country Artist Award, as well as the Video of the Year Award for his music video Dirt Road.

He has toured internationally since 2010 and has graced stages all over South Africa.

He has received various awards the past nine years, including Newcomer of the Year 2011, Gospel Country Award 2012, American Akademia Awards (Best Country Pop Song 2015) and Album of the Year 2015.

Bradley grew up in Ficksburg in the Free State and started his singing career in 2004.

Why did he pick country music?

“Country music is music that speaks to your heart. I have always loved songs that mean something and that bring out the best in someone. I love to write and perform modern country songs, it is vibrant and young and old love it!”

He has been married to Tina, who is also his manager, for the past 14 years. The couple has three children, Jasmine (12), Keagan (10) and Owen (nine months).

His new album will be released early next year.
