Matorokisi hit maker to headline music fest in Phomolong

Tembisa to come alive with music festival.

All roads will lead to Phomolong Section this Saturday for the annual Phomolong Comes Alive summer edition.

Going down at the Phomolong Sports Ground, this annual event will see some of Mzansi’s finest musos wowing music fans and party animals with their crafts.

Headlining this year’s summer edition are darlings of the music industry Master KG, Stillo Magolide, Malumz on Decks and DJ Sumbody and many more.

A festive music fest isn’t complete without the Amatorokisi hit maker Makhadzi, and this is the reason why organisers of this event didn’t hesitate but booked this new talent on the music scene.

Presented by Zimbi Entertainment and Machaba Entertainment, this summer edition music fest will also see a number of local artists sharing the stage with these top acts.

“When we were planning this event, we kept in mind the importance of having our very own Tembisa-based talents being part of the show.

Making waves: Malumz on Decks.

“This is our small way of showing our appreciation and recognition to these fine artists. We are not going to turn a blind eye and pretend as if there isn’t talent here at home, because we have enormous talent and we are going to expose it on Saturday when they entertain the crowd.

“This is also to prove that as a brand we are committed to supporting our locally based musicians,” said the event organiser, Zimbi Machaba.

He said they have planned a well-balanced show that will cater for everyone, young and old alike.

“We want to make this year’s event a strictly family show so that everyone should feel catered for. And we believe that with the line-up that we have, we will achieve this goal.

“To spice things up, we have roped in comedian Mashabela Galane as our MC and you can expect fun and laughter as well during the show.

“Our tickets are much more affordable and we expect to see everyone there. So bring the whole family and let the festive mood begin,” said Machaba.

Tickets are already on sale at Computicket outlets and are selling for R100 and R150.

VIP tickets are going for R200 and R250.
