Tembisans and music lovers are in for a feast of some festive music concerts billed from December 16 until the New Year.
Kick starting the festive party mood is the Worship Experience Festival, also famously known as WeFest, scheduled for this Saturday at the Shukumani Primary School.
The line-up will be dominated by seasoned gospel artists from Tembisa and surrounding areas, such as Lindile Petje, Ronny Phaahla, Bongani Basina, Mvangeli, Khayalakhe Skosana, Lesley Malatse and Nokuqonda.
Organisers urge people to bring camp chairs, picnic blankets, baskets and cooler boxes to enjoy the worshipping experience.
Getting on some serious party mode is the Easy Saturdays Street Food Market and Crafted Beer festival scheduled for December 16 at the Mehlareng Stadium.

If your budget doesn’t allow for the above event, you can make a turn at the Street Music and Live Performance show, also billed for December 16 at John’s place, Ecaleni Section, opposite Engine Garage.
Various local artists have been booked to entertain music and party lovers.
Christmas Day will see the return of DJ Shimza’s One Man Show, taking place at the Mehlareng Stadium.
Proudly presented by Shimuzic Productions, this 11th annual event will see some of Mzansi’s finest sharing the stage and wowing the crowds.
Entrance is R250 – R450 per person and tickets are already available at Computicket outlets.
On December 30, the Tembisa Braai Festival takes over and it is happening at the Emoyeni Sports Ground. Tickets are selling at R100 general, and R300 VIP.
Closing the year 2019 in fine style is The Groove Entertainment and Tembisa Tents and Events, which is organising the mother of all parties scheduled for New Year’s Eve at the Mashemong Section, Hyperion Street, with performances of USB, Jazzy T, Black Point and many more.
